- The Pioneer River Press publishes scholarly works of intellectual distinction and significance, works that will contribute to improving the quality of higher education, and works of general and regional interest and of lasting value.
- The Pioneer River Press may publish original works by faculty members, meritorious works originating elsewhere, and other projects to inform and inspire scholars, students and thoughtful general readers.
- The Pioneer River Press by definition is a small press with the intent of publishing no more than three books a year in order to provide authors with specialized guidance and support.
- The Pioneer River Press Book Review Committee shall be an institutional standing committee composed of Pioneer River Press staff and other members as appointed by the President.
- The Pioneer River Press Book Review Committee will meet on an annual
basis in December to ensure that submitted manuscripts align with
the mission of Indian River Community College. The Pioneer River Press
Book Review Committee reserves the right to review, accept or reject
any proposed submission and will make recommendations to the IRCC
District Board of Trustees for final action.
- The Pioneer River Press shall engage in a publishing program that, on balance, has the potential to recover full publishing costs in a reasonable amount of time and to provide funds to support the mission of Indian River Community College.
